(seated far left) and made up of professors and students of the Pernambuco Conservatory
of Music. This song was written by Marco César and João Lyra. I was honored to be
invited to perform this concert with them in Recife, Brazil on my birthday.

This wonderful group, ORQUESTRA RETRATOS DO NORDESTE, made up of professors and students of the Pernambuco Conservatory of Music, invited me to perform a concert with them, a great honor! Mandolins, mandolas, mandocellos, cavaquinho, 7-string guitar, violas caipiras, string bass, percussion, and drums. Led by the great mandolinist-arranger-composer Marco Cesar. This choro was composed by Maestro Duda, a major figure in the world of
frevo.
